December is not the time to pull back your energy and efforts. Most people are in the spirit of giving now and you need to tap their brief feeling for total success to occur.
I was a big proponent on mental health days even before the past two years happened. And now that we know from October’s “Stress in America” survey that work is a very/somewhat significant source of stress for 66% of those surveyed, it’s time to revisit this idea. First off, mental health days are not for you to avoid your boss after you made a mistake or just don’t feel like listening to your co-workers.
Did you know that nearly one-third of individual fundraising happens during the month of December and 12% of giving happens in the last week of the calendar year ? . You don’t want to blow this opportunity to raise what will likely be a significant amount of your nonprofit’s yearly revenue! With that in mind, here are some year-end fundraising tips to help you make the most of your online fundraising efforts.
With Giving Tuesday in the rear view, it’s tempting to forgo a year-end giving campaign and coast to the end of the year, catching up on work and enjoying the holidays. But don’t! I've been doing LOTS of trainings in the last few months. And getting a lot of the same types of questions. They generally sound like: "How do I know when a right time to ask so-and-so?". "How do I know if that asking amount is too much?". "This is what happened during the ask. I haven't heard back in weeks. Do you think I offended her?". Perhaps you have asked some of these yourself.
