Traditional budgeting and forecasting methods can no longer keep pace with today’s rapidly evolving business environment. Static budgets, rigid annual forecasts, and outdated financial models limit an organization’s ability to adapt to market shifts and economic uncertainty. To stay ahead, finance leaders must leverage a future-forward approach—one that leverages real-time data, predictive analytics, and continuous planning to drive smarter financial decisions.
So far in this series about Inclusive Fundraising, we’ve focused on reading and attention issues that make reading a challenge for many people — by some accounts, about 20% of the population in the US deals with these challenges. There’s another set of issues that make reading difficult for even more people: visual acuity issues. These range from presbyopia (which affects nearly everyone in their 40s or older to complete blindness — and everything in between.
Fundraisers expecting online revenue to save their 2023 were probably very disappointed. Online revenue declined by 1% during 2023 on average, but revenue from monthly giving increased 6%, and accounted for 31% of all online revenue. Some nonprofits did have increased online revenue. It was 3% more for Public Media nonprofits, and 4% more for the Health sector.
With nonprofits seeing a recent decline in revenue across the board, it’s more important than ever to plan ahead financially.
