Those who’ve managed to scratch out a way to stay are at risk every day of being erased. In 2018, I gathered a group of nine people from the community—small business owners; residents; nonprofit, school, and university leaders—to discuss how to preserve our beloved neighborhood. It also needs to be able to own land.
